How to check eBay last solds

Last solds are the prices buyers actually paid for a card, not what sellers are asking. If you want to know what a Pokémon card is worth, you look at the last solds. Here is how to do it on eBay, and how to do it faster.

Checking last solds on eBay

  1. Type the card name, set and collector number into eBay search, for example “Charizard Base Set 4/102”.
  2. Tick “Sold items” in the filters (under “Filter” in the app, under “Show only” in the left sidebar on desktop).
  3. Sort by “Ended: recently” and compare the last five to ten sales.
  4. Watch the language, condition and grading: a Japanese PSA 10 is a different card from a raw English copy.

Why that gets tedious

eBay only shows about 90 days, mixes languages and conditions, hides accepted best offers behind a struck-through price and does not separate ended-unsold listings. For a number you can trust you would have to check every sale by hand.

How lastsold does it

lastsold reads every sale once, detects language, condition and grading from the listing and computes the market value: the recency-weighted median of the last real sales, split by language and condition. You also see the last solds themselves with date, price and a link to the listing, the price history, and you can set a price alert. Free, no app, no account.

Frequently asked questions

What does “last solds” mean?
The most recent prices paid for a card in completed sales. They are the most honest measure of value because a buyer actually paid.
How far back does eBay show sold items?
Publicly about 90 days. lastsold keeps sales permanently and shows the history over months and years.
Do best offers count?
On eBay you only see the struck-through asking price, not the accepted offer. lastsold reads the price actually paid from the listing page.
Which sales go into the market value?
Only completed sales of the same language and condition, outlier-trimmed and weighted by recency. Gradings (PSA, BGS, CGC) are shown separately.
